What it’s like to move with us

  • 1) Your story - We believe the first step in the healing process is feeling seen and heard, which is why we take the time to hear to your story. We value the perspective you have about your body and what you believe is contributing to your symptoms. You are the expert of your own body, and if that’s not how you feel today, that’s OK, we’ll help you reclaim that confidence over time.

    2) Full body & movement assessment - Our therapists specialize in identifying the root causes of your symptoms. Understanding the “why” involves a thorough investigation of the following: strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, as well as unpacking beliefs and concerns you have about your healing and recovery.

  • 1) What you can expect - Your sessions will always be a full hour, one-on-one with your physical therapist. Our practice does not utilize therapy aides or assistants because you deserve to have our undivided attention. Frequency of appointments will be recommended by your therapist based on the findings in your evaluation, taking into account your health history and long term goals.

    2) Individualized treatment plan - Following your evaluation, you and your therapist will design a treatment plan together that will include: a personalized home program, a clear understanding of your healing roadmap, and the recommended frequency of visits to help you reach your movement goals. Our sessions and your home program will evolve over time to ensure you are making progress and feel supported every step of the way.

  • We believe in getting to the root cause of your symptoms and alleviating the discomfort that is holding you back. But that’s not where our work together stops. We help you build long term resiliency so that your symptoms don’t continue to re-interrupt your ability to move in the ways you enjoy. We accomplish this in the following ways:

    1) Mind & body coordination - We teach you how the mind and body coordinate movement as a team and how to restore this relationship within yourself.

    2) Focused strength work - In addition to learning new movement patterns, you’ll also be exploring specific strength work to enable your body to maintain this new coordination long term.
